In the Queue

I'm not a movie Fan. I normally spend my meaningless time watching TV series. My brother in law used download them and bring them for me. However Last week I had this weired thought of watching a movie in the cinema. I also wanted to watch this alone. That's how I ended up in a standing in a queue for nearly three hours in the stifling hot sun to watch a tamil  movie.
Luckily I was not the only person who was lined up in the queue for that many hours on a Sunday. There were more people in the queue.I was looking around to see if there were anyone that I would know standing nearby. None of my friends or relatives were there and I was just waiting, waiting and waiting in the queue updating my facebook status over the phone. Sadly my phone battery was on the brink of life. So I had to switch of my phone and stand doing nothing but stare at other people. "Is it worth it?" I thought. I was optimistic as I was the thirtieth on the queue that was heading towards the balcony counter.

There was also a five feet long narrow metal metal pathway directed us to the ticket counter. I was just the eighth person from the end of the metal tube. I still don't understan how did the rest of twenty two people were stuck in the that narrow tube, eagerly waiting to buy the tickets.  "Waite minute" I checked my wallet, Do I have enough money to by the tiackets. Oh No! I only got 400 bucks in my wallet. So I leaned towards the person standing next to me and enquird about the ticket price. "Not sure mate. Last week they sold balcony tickets for 800 bucks" He replied. "Ok" I had a deep breath, Now I didn't want to give up, Standing for hours, I'll will buy a cheaper ticket and watch the movie".

The time was not running, the queue got fatter and fatter while young men from nowhere piled  up near the top of the row. Suddenly I became the seventieth in the queue. I didn't want to confront with anyone as the people who just walked in resembled thugs,. I didn't want to risk my life. Lucky the previous show had just come to an end and people were coming out victoriously yelling at us.

Suddenly people in the queue got violent. There was about forty people trying to get in to this metal tube at once. They were screaming at each other in utter filth. They demanded the the cinema officials to open the door and issue tickets now.I could see some  people who were standing at the end of the queue passing cash to these thugs. I didn't want to give up. I squeezed in the metal tube putting all my strength. God! the other men were stronger than me . I could evens smell alchemy on them , But I didn't want to give up.

I somehow managed to squeeze in to the queue. Some dude kicked on my butt. Another pushed my head.I was trapped in the queue. The queue was not moving. I got another slap on my face. Some other idiot was trying to walk above me. I could hear more filth.  The crowd was sreanmimg, pusing each other. I couldn't breath. Can someone help me, I've been standing in the scorching hot sun for nearly three hours now, I'm about to faint, I screamed. No one seemed to pay attention to me. It was all a mess, I was stranded and squashed in side this metal path. "Why all this risk? I could simply stayed at home and watched the last episode of Dexter at home" I thought.  But I didn't want to give up. I tried to to breath and survive, what an experience. This was how I was manged to watch the this  tamil movie "Enthiram"
